Strat's Place - Celebrating the Arts

Having lived in North Carolina since 1960, we've seen a wonderful growth in the support and number of wonderful Arts and Craft experiences in the area.

This page is our our way of "giving back" some of the enjoyment that these Craftspeople have given to us by giving a bit of (free) "net" presence to these people, places and organizations. Needless to say, there are many that we are not aware of and we are counting on you, our readers to let other Craftspeople know about our site so that we can offer them a bit of Free exposure for their works. Since this is a free area, Betsy and I resever the right to choose whose work is shown.

	Betsy and I were fortunate to attend wonderful workshops at Penland School of Crafts. This national center for craft education is one of the finest of its type in the country ... come stroll thru over 100 pictures of our experiences.
	Jim Lux is one of our favorite potterers and we are really excited about being able to document his works on our site.
	We are honored to announce that Strat's Place has been chosen to be the display site for the National Teapot Show IV
	The wonderful pottery of Mark Hewitt
	We are pleased to exhibit the works of internationally reknowned ceramic artist Val Cushing
	The North Carolina Museum of Art houses one of the most extensive art collections in the Southeast. They have wonderful programs for adults and children. You are really missing out if you don't visit this wonderful place. You can find out more info by visiting their web page.
