The following pictures are from and Exhibition of Val Cushing's work that was staged that The Cedar Creek Crafts Center in Creedmore, NC during April of 1999 Val has just retired after 40 years of teaching ceramics at Alfred University. Alfred is considered the premier University in the U.S. for ceramics. Val was Professor Emeritis and much of Alfred's reputation is due to Val's being there. He is internationally known and collectors worldwide seek his work. Examples of his work can be found in every major ceramics book that has been published in the last 25 years.
