of wines. It can very often fall short. It is winemaking's Holy
Grail. Not unlike '101 Dalmations," the following series
reveals my 101 favorite pinot noirs tasted over the past year.

aged in French oak. The recipe is pretty established, in that
ZD has been making a Carneros pinot noir since 1969.
