This autochthon grape produces extremely full
bodied, spicy wines. The late harvest Zierfandlers retain enough
acidity to ensure excellent aging potential.
Zinfandel
This grape for Europe found a happy home in
the U.S., particularly in California. Today it is used to produce
either a rather bland "White Zin" .. or the heady, grapey,
deep red that has risen to an almost cult status in the U.S.
