Following right behind the end of the flowering of the Winter Daphne, this
spring variety gives us a continuation of the wonderful fragrance of daphne. This
variety is not as bushy as the winter kind but it's varigated leaves add a nice
texture.
Fragrance: Strong lemonly, honey smell but not quite as strong as the
Winter Daphne
Light: Light to medium shade
Soil: Our standard mix
Planting/Care: In a mound so that they don't get their roots too wet. We
only water water bi-weekly except during our hot July, August. Be sure to plant
these where you want them .. they do NOT like to be moved.
Blooms: April - may
Propagation: Quite easy by cutting some new growth in the spring and sticking
it in pots of soil ... don't overwater cuttings

| April 6, 1998 ... Plants are around 1' tall |

| 4/19/00 .. plants are now around 2' tall and 3' wide. Huge bloom this year.
Will probably do a light trimming this year to keep them from getting too stalky |
