Our goal is to capture our's and others's gardens throughout the year so that you can see what these plants look like in the each of the four seasons. Each plant will show a close up of the flower/foliage and then a full picture of the plant in each of the four seasons.

You Can Help ... If you are like us .. each time you put in a new plant you "promise" yourself you will record all of its info in your diary .. you put the little name sticker next to the plant and say "I'll record it later" .. only "later" never comes ... you lose the sticker and then, when you try to remember the plant .. well you know the rest of the story. Please help us .. if you know the Hort. name of the plants where we have "dunno" please drop us an email and let us know.

Better yet ... why not send us some pictures of your plants so that we can share them with others.

Some notes on how we garden .. We are in Raleigh, NC (Zone 7). Our strongest belief is that we spend a lot of time preparing a home for a new plant, take care of it during the first year and from then on, it's on its own. We water only when necessary and not more than biweekly except during the hot July/August summers here in NC and even then, quite a few of the bushes only get water biweekly. We fertilize twice a year with a time release fertilizer.
