This cellar is truly an expression of love for both Ed and Karen. The only @#$@#$ problem is that, once more, Betsy reminds me of our ugly ours is !!

Ed and Karen write ...

Just heard about your cool site via the West Coast Wine Discussion Group...hope your able to post the following stuff:

Our passive cellar, located in beautiful Colorado Springs, was designed and constructed on our own about a year ago. Being our first (and only) attempt, we spent a lot of time reading all the how-to stuff we could get our hands on.

The room is about 12'X14' and holds 1,000 bottles. We probably went a little overboard with the bar, television, sofa, stained glass, crystal, etc...but its a great room and we love to spend time in it with friends. ( entry view from inside )

The temperature ranges between 52 and 64 winter to summer, but a humidifier is required as we're about 7,000 feet up...very dry!
