"Your site is terrific. It helped me tremendously when planning and building my closet cellar. I am including pictures of the closet from start to almost finished. I am still waiting for the base kits for the curved corner racks (they are back ordered from IWA). I have included a description of each picture as well. Feel free to use as many of the pictures as you feel are needed to show the construction of this "under the staircase" closet cellar. "

Closet before construction

Cut-out and support for cooling unit with new electrical outlet

First layer of insulation inc. vapor barrier. I used a multiply insulation similar to Reflectix but available at Home Depot. All seams were covered with alum. foil tape.

Second layer of insulation. I used R-Matte panels of compressed insulation with foil sides (also available at Home Depot). All seams sealed with foil tape.
