Abel S. sent is this map of the wine regions of Mexico
Abel writes ... The most important wine region is Baja
California and we call it "Mexico's Napa Valley".
We don't have as many wineries as California, there are only
nine but they produce most of the wine that Mexicans drink and they all have won
International awards.
Excepting Baja, Hermosilloo, Caborca and Bahia Kino, the rest
of the Mexican wine areas are outside the wine belt, but altitude compensates
for latitude and although they produce wine, their main production is brandy.
