We are proud to provide a resting place for these great flower portraits. We know just how much time it takes to accomplish this and it is very evidently a work of love. We thank Mark and hope that you gain as much enjoyment from these as we do. We asked Mark to tell us a bit about himself and how he does these scans ... here is his reply ... I am 41 and very happily married for 13 years. A biologist, I am working at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Fort Myers Florida. I am responsible for the regulation of about 300 public drinking water systems and I try to make sure your drinking water is safe. My scanning technique using a HP 5100cse scanner. 1. Arrange the flowers on the scanner with the lid off. You want to make sure that you scan your flowers within minutes of
picking them as most of life force drains out after 10 - 15 minutes.
that's what makes my scans look so vibrant! If you don't believe me
just try scanning the same flower at 5,15, 30, 60 minute intervals
and look at the changes. You will delete all but the 5 minute scan.
If any of your readers would like a full sized image ( usually 640x480 ) of any of these images .. they are welcome to email me.
